The story of my life.

I know this is a total eye-roll-worthy, first-world, woe-is-me problem, but we checked into a local hotel last night for a micro escape from reality.  They have a small waterpark with 2 slides & an itty bitty splash pool, but the room prices are reasonable & ours has a HUGE 2-person whirlpool and a heavenly steam shower.

Perhaps the battery in my inner bullshit alarm has finally gone kaput, because I maybe possibly probably should have questioned why the room was so inexpensive.

We have no hot water.  There's apparently some problem with the hotel's boilers; and although they keep apologizing & saying that it will only be "a few more minutes", we're stuck in our room with the difficult decision of taking an icy bath or a frosty shower.

All I want is a nice, HOT, relaxing, soothing bubble bath.  Without having to warm the water in the coffee pot first.
